University of South Dakota Athletics has signed an all inclusive deal with adidas to become the official shoe and apparel provider for the department sports teams, USD Director of Athletics, David Sayler, announced Thursday.
The partnership with adidas will allow the Athletic Department to achieve brand consistency and provide other growth opportunities, while being affiliated with one of the most recognizable shoe and apparel companies in the world.
In addition, the agreement with adidas marks the first time all USD intercollegiate athletic programs have been included in a single, all encompassing apparel agreement. Utilizing a single vendor for all programs will ensure consistency in image and branding throughout the athletic department, across the campus and in the community.

The department has been working on increasing the notoriety of the USD brand, especially as it relates to Athletics. The university launched a new athletic logo campaign in August, and with the transition to NCAA Division I almost complete, the partnership brings additional distinction to USD.
