CREVE COEUR, Ill. A Facebook post. That all the notification the employees at Raedene Country Cafe got, telling them they were out of a job.

“I was supposed to be there at like 7 O this morning” said Eric Stanford, an employee at Raedene worked with friend Clinton Bebee at the cafe in Creve Coeur this past year. They both saw the Facebook status from their boss Raedene Doxsie.

Beebe and Stanford said it not the first time the cafe struggled to stay open. They claim the water was shut off a handful of times over the past year.

“I a clean freak, I have to have everything clean. But if there no water I can clean nothing. If there no water I can do my job I can do dishes. At the same time I can perform my duties in order for the cooks to get their food out to the customers” said Beebe.

Both are now scrambling to find another job.

“I got three kids you know I got a newborn not even 2 months old, I got a 2 year old and an 8 year old you know I got someone I have to take care of” said Stanford.

“It kind of like she broke up with us over a text message, that the way I look at it as she didn do it right in my eyes” said Beebe.
