A large group of Huntsville men and women wearing pink took part in Rally for the Cure, a breast cancer awareness campaign that is the nation’s largest grassroots women’s golf program.

This year marks the 17th time the Huntsville club pledged its support and once again teed off against breast cancer. Fifty two men joined the field of 99 players for this worthwhile cause on Oct. 8 at Elkins Lake Country Club.

As part of the activities, a closet to the pin contest was held for both men and women. Ruth Faulkner and Ed Gray were the lucky winners,

each receiving a pair of Adidas golf shoes.

The team of Doug Heaton, Mason Scarborough, Marg Beck and Ruth Faulkner won first place. All ties were broken by a score card playoff. The tournament also had eight additional team winners.
